David Legwand TTM

This is an interesting one. I remember sending to David Legwand a long time ago but, not with these cards. He must have mistakenly put somebody elses cards in my SASE. This is still a great success from the Predators veteran. Maybe with his help, they can upset the Canucks ! Cards were sent to the Nashville Predators but they came back with a return address from I believe his house in Michigan.

Milan Hejduk TM

Milan Hejduk is one of the best players to be apart of the Colorado Avalanche and is one of the few members that are on the team that won the cup with the Avs. Milan signed 1/1 through the Colorado Avalanche.

Bobby Ryan TTM

Great success from one of the most exciting players to watch in the whole NHL. Bobby has just recently came back from a suspension he acquired during the playoffs for stomping on someones foot, but he did manage the score one of the best goals of the year the day of his return. Bobby signed 1/1 through the Anahiem Ducks.

Jaroslav Halak TTM

I got this one the same day as my Carey Price cards so It was kind of cool to get last years and this years Habs goalie on the same day. Halak played great last year in Montreal and had another great season this year in St. Louis. Halak signed 1/1 through the St.Louis Blues.

Carey Price TTM

Great success from one of the top goaltenders in the league. He has had perhaps his best season this year and I'm surprised he wasn't nominated for the Vezina. Carey signed 2/2 through the Montreal Canadiens.

Bryce Salvador TTM

Great success from one of my favorite defensemen in the league. Bryce was hurt most of the year but I can't wait to see him play in 2011-2012. He signed my card and 4x6 photo through his home address.

Mike Knuble TTM

Great success from a great veteran in the league. Sorry my first post of this got messed up, I don't know what happened. Knuble will be a great asset for the Caps in the second round as they will hopefully be facing the Buffalo Sabres. Cards were sent to the Washington Capitals.

Ryan Malone TTM

Bout' time I got something back. I've been on a drought or the past couple weeks so it's good to see I got something. This one took like 3 months and he signed 1/1 through the Tampa Bay Lightning. He also sent a letter thanking me for my request and my letter.

Great Skate: August 2010

Ever year, Great Skate, a hockey equipment store in Amherst, New York has a big summer sale. One of the features every year is they have a meet and greet with stars of the NHL. Last year's were Patrick Kane (which I couldn't go to), Zach Parise and Brian Gionta. There is no charge for the signings and it is open to the public. The lines can be a little long but it's defiantly worth it! I've been going to these for a couple years so I'll show you some of my stuff from years past.

RIP Rico

I just heard the sad news today that former Sabre and member of the French Connection Rick Martin has passed away today in a car accident in Buffalo, New York. Martin was one of the best Sabres players of all time and one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. I had the opportunity to meet him several times in person and I was also at the game where he made his last public appearance when he skated out on the ice with Gilbert and Rene. He will truly be missed.

Kris Versteeg TTM

I did not expect to get this one back so quickly! I sent this one to him the day after I heard he was traded to the Flyers. Versteeg has been playing great since he got traded from the Leafs. This one took about three weeks and I sent it to the Flyers. He signed 1/1.

Dale Hawerchuk TTM

I've been waiting for this for a while! I picked up the 8x10 like 5 years ago when I went to the Hockey Hall of Fame. It was pretty weird because that was the only Sabres photo in there, no Gilbert or Lafontaine! Anyway, The 8x10 turned out great! Nice to see he signed with the Blue Sharpie I sent him too! This took about 4 months and he signed 2/2 through the Barrie Colts. I also got 2 cards from Joe Thornton today which I gave to my brother. They took like a year because I sent them to the Sharks.

Matt Carle TTM

Great success from a great Flyers player. Quick one too, only took about two weeks. Carle signed 1/1 through the Philadelphia Flyers.

Welcome to Buffalo, Brad Boyes!

As I'm sure you all know that today is Trade Deadline in the NHL. Some teams made moves and some teams did nothing. My team the Buffalo Sabres made one move today getting Brad Boyes from St. Louis for a 2011 2nd Round pick! I'm real exited about this pick up! Brad is a great goal scorer and I'm sure he will help us out to make the playoffs. I got a chance to see him play this year when the Blues came to town last week. I don't think he got any points but they beat us 3-0 (which sucked!). Well anyway, I think Darcy Reiger, Lindy Ruff and probably Sabres new owner Terry Pegula did a great job today. Hopefully, this won't be another Raffi Torres situation like last year!

Alexei Zhitnik TTM

Alexei was a great defensemen for us in the 90's and in the 2000's. He was one of the best defensemen I've ever seen on the power play. I saw a couple successes from him on a couple of different sites and I figured I would give it a shot. Quick two turn-around too! He signed 2/2 + an index card through his home.
