Anze Kopitar TTM

Received 5/13/11
This is my second time sending to Anze and my second success from him as well. Last time I sent to him, it took forever but I didn't put a SASE in it, but he still signed it and paid for postage. My second time around I did put in s SASE, but it took just as long. He must sign his stuff once the season is over because I sent this in December. Anze had a great this year in LA. I thought they were going to go far this year, but they ended their season in a first round loss to San Jose. Cards were sent to the LA Kings.

So yeah I just opened up a twitter count so if anybody has a Twitter, please follow me. This will give me a chance to hear some of your successes and share them with others. So if anybody tweets me their successes, I will always Re tweet them. I will also talk more about the hockey finals, baseball and even football (if we have it)! So make sure to follow me @markopolo209 on twitter and thanks for all the support!

Trevor Linden TTM

Received 5/26/11
Wow! Great success from a sure to be hall of famer! Linden is one of the most iconic figures in Canucks history! I didn't think I would get this one back because I have never seen any successes from him before, but who knows, maybe he is in a good mood because his Canucks are in the Final. Anyway awesome success, I haven't sent much out recently so its good to see old stuff come back. This one took like 5 or 6 months and I sent it to his house in Canada.

Eric Staal TTM

Received 5/16/11
It looks like the eldest Staal decided to empty out his mail box this past week because I got everything back yesterday! I got 6 things from Mr. Staal and a couple of them were stuff I sent out like 2 years ago! I decided to keep these two and give the rest to my brother (they turned out kind of crappy!) I got stuff back from cards sent to the Hurricanes and to his house.

Bobby Clarke TTM

Received 5/16/11
Great success from a NHL Legend. Clarke is probably the best player to ever put on a Flyers sweater. Him and the rest of the broad street bullies drove teams crazy by beating them on the ice and on the scoreboard. Bobby is also a great TTM signer as well. This is my second success from him so far. This is the first time I have ever seen him sign in blue as well so that is also a plus for the 8x10. The photo took about 2 weeks and was sent to the Philadelphia Flyers.

Stanley Cup Thoughts

Even though my Sabres are out, I am still following the Stanley Cup Playoffs every night. Here are my projections of whats going to happen in the next couple of weeks.

Tampa Bay vs Boston: I'm comparing this series to the Miami Heat-Chicago Bulls series going on in the NBA. The Heat are like the Lightning because they are both young teams with three exciting players in the league on their team; and Boston to "da Bulls" (SNL reference) because both have an extremely great history but haven't won any championships recently. Even though I hate the Bruins (same with any other team in the North East with Montreal as an exception) I think Boston in 6. They have much more playoff experience and I think they are just way too physical for Tampa to handle.

Vancouver vs San Jose: Both teams are extremely talented but they almost blew 3-0 series leads. Have ice advantage I think will play a big part in this series so I am saying Canucks in 7. Unlike San Jose, their fan base is a lot stronger and their star players are playing great. If San Jose wants a chance to win, guys like Heatley and Thornton need to step it up. This is going to be a great series and I cant wait to see it play out!

Stanley Cup Final: Vancouver Boston will be a great Final to see so I really hope it turns out this way. I'm saying Vancouver wins Lord Stanley in 6. Don't get me wrong, Boston is a great team, but I don't think they have enough in them to win it all. I'm siding with Canada on this one boys!

Let me know what you think, comment your projections and if you get everything right, you could see a little prize coming your way!

Niklas Backstrom TTM

Received 5/13/11
Great success from a great NHL Goaltender. Backstrom was hurt pretty much the whole year I think so Jose Theodore played for him. Nice for him to still sign his mail though. These cards took a while, about 9 months from his home address.

Tomas Kopecky TTM

Received 5/6/11
This is a good one for me because the card i got signed by him in person turned out like crap because it was signed in silver. Kopecky and a pretty good year in Chicago, they almost pulled a fast one on Vancouver, who now looks like they will be in the Western Conference Championship game. Card took like 5 months from the Chicago Black hawks.

We Have a Winner!

Congrats to Kyle Wong, the winner of the Rick Dipietro contest! Thanks to everybody who entered in their answers, I will definitely do more contests in the future. The correct answer to the question was the real Alexander the Great, Alexander Moginly with 76 goals in one year. Thanks to everyone who participated and congrats Kyle.
